Cult Sport

Fifteen products. Ten hours. One crew.

When Cult Sport came to us with their new dumbbell line, the brief had a problem hiding inside it. Fifteen SKUs across three product categories. Photography and film, both. Two athletes. Multiple deliverable formats for multiple platforms. And one shoot day to get all of it.

Most brand teams know this moment. The launch date is fixed, the product is ready, and every day of studio time is budget. The usual answer is to compromise: shoot the hero products properly, rush the rest, and hope nobody looks too closely at SKU eleven.

We built the day differently. Before anyone touched a light, every SKU had a shot plan mapped to where it would live, the e-commerce page, the launch film, the social cutdowns. Photography and film ran simultaneously instead of sequentially, one team's setup feeding the other's. Choreography was locked with the athletes in advance so no energy was spent inventing on the clock. When the brief shifted mid-day, and it always shifts mid-day, the plan absorbed it instead of breaking.

Ten hours later, Cult Sport had every deliverable on the list: the full product line covered, launch film and stills, in the warm home-gym aesthetic their brand called for, with nothing pushed to a reshoot.

The lesson we'd offer any brand team staring at a compressed launch: the day goes wrong in the planning, never on the floor. A crew that starts thinking when the camera turns on will cost you the calendar. A crew that arrives with every frame already decided can give you a launch's worth of content in a single day.
